Deep Purple hit the jackpot with their album In Rock which is one of the greatest early heavy metal recordings ever made. Fireball is the second album made by the Mark II line-up and I have to say that this fails to offer the five stars feeling that In Rock had. That still doesn't mean that Fireball is a bad album.
