Method Man’s debut album Tical was released through Def Jam approximately one year after the Wu-Tang Clan released their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. Meth was the first to release.

The best meth has ever done The best CD method man has ever put it, plain and simple. Miles ahead of "Tical Judgement Day", and slightly better then "Blackout!", method man was still very much a wu tang member when this came out.

The first Wu-Tang Clan solo album to follow the seismic impact of Enter the Wu-Tang, Method Man's Tical similarly delivers an otherworldly wallop, one that instantly sets the madcap MC apart from his clansmen as the collective's shining star. Not only is Meth madcap, both in terms of mentality and delivery, he's also incredibly witty and wordy. Here he inspires hilarity as well as astonishment 9/
